The Storyteller on Location
The Medicine Bow National Forest has within its perimeters some spectacular mountain ranges, namely the Snowy Range and the Sierra Madre. Between these two are vast prairies of sage brush and grassland.

The vibrant towns of Saratoga, Encampment and Riverside are situated here, nestled beside the North Platte River and the Encampment River respectively. There are cattle ranches and sheep ranches. There are vistas evocative of history both ancient and new. In the mountain ranges the word spectacular comes into its own.

This is the setting for The Storyteller and the fictitious town of Feather Ridge. The picture gallery images of this region are some of the favourites from my album, taken in late Spring and early Summer. The Storyteller takes place in the seasons of Spring and Summer.
